Supporting the Headteacher and staff in striving for excellence at Wharncliffe Side.
Our main role is to support the Headteacher and staff as a 'critical friend', helping them set and reach targets through the School Improvement Plan and Self Evaluation Form.
Our legal duties include setting strategic direction, policies and objectives, approving the school budget, reviewing progress against it, and appointing, challenging and supporting the Headteacher.
The Full Governing Body meets at least once a half-term, with a Resources committee reviewing financial policy, and named governors responsible for priority areas including safeguarding.
We encourage families to visit our school so you can see first-hand the nurturing environment, the quality of provision and our wonderful children.
